About Sassy's 86
Sassy's was a legendary bar in Austin, Texas. It was said to exist as late as the early 2000s, but no one can really agree when or where it was. Sassy's is a stand in bar for any bar story you want to tell. The only thing people seem to agree on is that it was a dive bar and Gladys was behind the bar most nights of the week, either tending bar, or holding court. Either way she took no shit.
It's a bar to tell stories about and speculate about. What makes a bar is the experience you had in that space. Who you knew, what you did, who you made out with.
Sassy's is that for everyone.
Because it never existed.
